the inside bottom of the cup

has a small rose pattern

  

 

I have a service of 4

 

4 Dinner Plates

&

4 Cup with Saucers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

~!~ Bless My Old Drawers ~!~

 

This old desk drawer was calling my name !

Come make me pretty & usable again.

 

 

So I got busy

 

 

got out my paints & other tools

 

 

First I cleaned it

 &

 then added my print to the inside of the drawer.

I found the prints on a free copy site 

I used two different ones

 &

 did an overlay

 on the larger one in the background. 

 

I painted the top & sides.

 Then used a tool that I made myself to make it look like

beadboard.

 

 

I left the inside of the drawer with it's natural vintage patina.

 

I added a

Vintage Glass Knob

&

Fancied  it up with some burlap, ribbons, lace,

an my handmade tag. 

 

 

Finished

&

 it is now in my Flea Market booth

~!~ My String Pearls Necklace ~!~

When I was a Child the last thing I wanted for CHRISTmas

 was a string of Pearls !

But as luck would have it the same girl in my class would draw my name every year ... well for at least 3 years in a row!

&

I would get the usual .99 cent strand of fake pearls every year.

I never worn any of them.

I wasn't your pearl necklace kind of gal back then.

In fact I was quite the ~Tom Boy ~ outdoors type of girl.

I was always riding my horse, squirrel hunting, or fishing in a creek or some farm pond with my brother.

Childhood memories of CHRISTmas past.

Yes, today I wish I had keep them all ! 

I have found that I like the

Vintage Elegance

that they have

&

 so I have collected several strands to adorn my home.

some are single strands & some have several strands

some are Blinged out

some are

dainty & delicate

some

 are child size

I have clustered several

 types & lengths

 together

I found most of them at

 Thrift Shops ~ Yard Sales

 &

Flea Markets

funny how "Age" can change some things

~!~ Yard Sale Treasure Redo ~!~

     

Old Tool Box

 

I did it again ~ I forgot to take a before picture???

Oh well,

when I found it ~ it was very dirty

&

had been painted slate blue 

a leftover from the

1990's

is my guess??? 

after getting it all cleaned up I painted it

Flat Black

&

 then I took the sander to it

added the burlap ribbon

 &

 lined the bottom cubes with burlap

( notice the string with the chalk )  

a touch of Christmas greens, berrys, rusty bells & a small pinecone 

added a couple Glass Jar containers that I also got given to me at the garage sale.

I cleaned them up

 &

 painted the wood lids white.
