Stained Glass Stepping Stones

My Red Rose

Several years ago my daughter Sharla & I made these for my flower bed walkway.

************

A Yellow Sunflower

She was into doing Stained Glass at that time & we had seen these at a Garden Shop somewhere ???
So we put our heads together & this is what we came up with.
We were surprised how well they turned out
 &
I have had them now for almost 15yrs.

*******

The Supplies

A Large Rubber Dog/Pet Food Bowl
Contact Paper
Stained Glass Cut in Flower Shapes
( we drew our own patterns )
Bag of Concrete Mix

We cut the Contact Paper to fit the Bottom of the Bowl
Then remove the paper and place ... sticky side up.
Start placing your Stained Glass face down so it sticks to the contact paper.
Mix the Concrete in a Bucket & then pour it over the Stained Glass
about 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches deep.
While it is wet be sure to shake out the bubbles.
Let it dry for several hours & at least 24 hrs before you walk on them.
Do one at a time until you get the hang of it
also
I think if you don't have Stained Glass you could do a Mosaic with old Broken Dishes,
Just us your imagination & be creative with it
 &
Just Have Fun !

Bright & Cheery

A Lavender Tulip

A Purple Iris

They lead the way around to the side of the house.

These aren't Stained Glass
but I thought I'd add them to this post anyway.

A Dragonfly & Bumblebee

These are made out of Creek Gravel

They just add a contrast & finish out the walkway nicely !
